Our Farm and Farming Practices
CLB Farms LLC is a modest sized 22 acre family farm located in the rolling hills of the De Luz region of CA - about 20 miles inland and midway between L.A. and San Diego. Among the best locations in the world for growing avocados, this area has the mild warm weather that stimulates tree growth and avocado production, along with the fertile but sandy soil that provides the rapid drainage required by this amazing fruit. On or farm we commercially grow organic Hass avocados and both Hass and GEM conventionally grown avocados.
With 3,600 avocado trees, including 3,100 of the Hass and 500 of the GEM verities. of these 2,700 of the trees are managed to conventional farming standards, with 900 of the Hass trees USDA certified to meet the demanding organic farming standards. While the trees range in age from newly planted to over 50 years old, most are newer with a modern disease resistant root stock, while the older trees (our pets) remain to preserve the groves beauty and character.
At CLB Farms LLC we pride ourselves on our commitment to environmentally sustainable farming methods with most of the organic standards applied to all trees, both conventional and organic. Regardless of where fruit is picked from, it has never been sprayed with insecticides. All trees are Non-GMO, automated deep well precision irrigation saves water, use of predator insects rather than insecticides combat destructive pests, on-site bee hives provide pollination, and automated overhead cooling sprinklers prevent overheating of fruit during occasional high temperature surges. These techniques add substantially to production costs, but keep our farm producing the highest quality California avocados. It's about both the taste and healthy nature of the food, and preserving the land for the future.

Our Return and Refund Policy
CLB Farms provides a 100% Guarantee that you will be happy with your purchase of avocados from us.
In the event that you are not happy with our products please contact us through the "Contact Us" section of the Home Page and we will make things right. If you want to have the order replaced, we will do that at no cost to you. If you want to have your purchase price refunded, we will do that.
We don't ask you to return an order - it's food. But is some cases we may ask for photos to help us improve our processes.
We will preserve the records of replacement and refund activities, and in the unlikely event of multiple requests that seem to be abuse of the guarantee, we reserve the right to remove a buyer from our qualified customer list and decline to accept future purchases.
